"Help Them Stay" Campaign

Even before the fires, low vacancy rates and high housing costs in Sonoma County made it challenging for lower income residents to live here. Now—with thousands of dwellings destroyed and years ahead to rebuild—remaining has become impossible for many. Thousands of renters and people whose insurance coverage will not provide enough money to rebuild face the prospect that Sonoma County no longer has a place for them.
The good news, and it’s only barely good, is that we have time, if we start right now, to help these people create their own housing, their own jobs, and a place for themselves in Sonoma County’s future.
